So I’m not sure if I’m leaving this in the right place, but considering that my girlfriend, her husband, and myself are not “out”, I rarely get an oppertunity to share my happy poly moments with people; and I have one I’ve been dying to share.so I am fairly new to poly, and so is my girlfriend and her husband. Things have been going pretty well with the exception of a few bumpy moments….but thanks to us having the ability to communicate our feelings well with one another we have made it through the difficult times pretty admirably so far. One thing that has caused a bit of apprehension is that my girlfriend and her husband have two children. “C” is a 20 month old little girl, and “J” is a four year old boy. I have been extremely fortunate to be given the opportunity to be a stable part of both of their lives. I typically join my girlfriend and the kids for breakfast at least a couple of times a week, and have even been able to join her and the kids for the children’s music class they both take once a week and it is absolutely incredible. Last week while spending time with the family, C climbed up on the couch and snuggled up with me to watch tv. Later that day while in the kitchen, J approached me out of nowhere and hugged my leg super tight and walked away without a second thought. These things may seem minor, but neither of these children are known to be overly affectionate…especially J. This was one of the happiest days I have experienced in some time thanks to these two little ones that I feel so fortunate to be accepted by. THANK YOU for taking the time to read this, and all you do! -Tyler
