I’m here at Winter Wickedness for the first time and having a great time! Thanks to everyone who came out to this session today.

And this was also my first time presenting a shiny, brand-new class: Eight Things I Wish I’d Known About Polyamory (Before I Tried It and Fucked It Up). The full presentation is below:

What a great class! Especially for those of us who are carving out their own version of poly and learning where the land mines are. Thank you for sharing your experiences and your knowledge.

  2. Really enjoyed the class! Made me go “hmmmm” and “ah ha!” More than once. I’m also ecstatic you posted your presentation. I forgot my notebook at home and was really worried about how inward possibly going to remember everything. Problem solved! Thanks so much for posting, and for presenting. Hope to see you at future AIS events 🙂

Happy to and thanks for the feedback! I’ll be presenting it again soon, so let me know if there is anything that needed more emphasis or that I left out.

  4. This is great, the above articles on not pretending you are the ruler or have the all true definitions of poly. We get tons of swinger types joining our club and they love sex and want to have it. The other who says poly is not about just sex is not considering how some marrages are sexless so the idea is to clear up that poly is about sex and lots of it rather than none at all. It seems they butt heads with each other all the time because the “not just about sex” poly people will not admit that sex even exists in poly as they define it. The swinger types going into a poly type relationships are talking sex and getting told they are not poly because poly is not about just sex. This silliness has got to stop.
