Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the Poly Weekly Book Club last night! We ended up with about a dozen folks, all heatedly discussing Ravenscroft’s book. Some had read the book in its entirety; some still had it on order; some (like me) had read about half. One guy even drove in from Green Bay just for the event! (But we all think he’s crazy)
We talked about the poly community (whether there was one), the significance of labels like primary/secondary and why we treat people the way we do; converting to poly being as all-encompassing as converting to a new religion; why the print in the book is so damn tiny; and why there are no good resources for secondaries out there.
After three hours, the group felt there was still more to discuss, so we’re going to finish the book and continue discussing it next month. So, for next month:
Wednesday, February 27th, 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Poly Weekly Book Club
